Published: Multi-omics profiling uncovers miRNA-guided molecular changes in SCI
1/1/2025
I am thrilled to share that our new study, "Integrated multi-omics profiling uncovers miRNA-guided molecular changes in acute spinal cord injury," has just been published in Molecular Therapy: Nucleic Acids (MT-NA)!
What We Did & Why It Matters
- Approach: We applied an integrative multi-omics analysis (miRNA, mRNA, and proteomics) to samples from acute Spinal Cord Injury (SCI).
- Discovery: We successfully mapped the dynamic and coordinated molecular changes occurring across gene, miRNA, and protein levels post-injury.
- Key Finding: We identified several key miRNAs as central drivers of post-injury molecular reprogramming.
- Therapeutic Potential: Crucially, in vitro inhibition of miR-20a promoted neurogenesis-related responses, positioning it as a promising therapeutic target for SCI.
Publishing in MT-NA is a true honor. A heartfelt thanks to all co-authors, collaborators, and everyone who supported this challenging but rewarding journey.
I am excited to continue this work and explore how these findings can be translated into new treatments.
